Dawn Raid was formed in early 2006 to try and create a sound that the guy's felt was missing from modern Drum N Bass. Hard work in the studio over a number of years in order to find a sound that represented them best, and a constant push with their local performances, helped to elevate the group further. This lead to memorable well received sets at the legendary Warehouse Project via Metropolis, APE at the Manchester Apollo and Sankey's Soap, as well as huge local nights Platoon, Hit + Run, Religion, Subwoofah & Relapse.

During 2010 through to mid 2012 Dawn signed exclusively to DJ Vapour's 36Hertz Recordings and subsequently released their debut single 'Breakdown' featuring Leanne in late 2011 with big remixes from the likes of RAM Records artist Callide. This was followed up by their debut EP on 36 Hertz 'Tears in the Rain' & their first collaboration with current jungle don Bladerunner via the 'Back To the Bass' LP series in the form of the dance floor smasher 'Hippo Yawn'.

Upon leaving the label to further spread their creative wings in May 2012, Dawn turned their attention to focusing on building their release portfolio & doing the ground work to start their own label. This led to a September 2012 DnB Number 1! with Bladerunner in the form of the 'Only You' remix for old skool legend Nookie released on Phuzion Digital.

Currently, Dawn have been actively working with well known artists such as the aforementioned Bladerunner, Tru Thoughts Garage/Dubstep pioneer Zed Bias aka Maddslinky, actor/vocalist of 'Ill Manors' fame RizMC (Riz Ahmed), and have released/remixed tracks featuring Congo Natty 'Junglist' legend Peter Bouncer and foundation hardcore stalwart DJ Slipmatt through DJ Randall's Stepback Sessions. With a stack-load of original material and remixes from other prolific artists such as Callide, Lionfire, etc, etc, the future is looking bright for this Manchester based collective!
