North Base are treating their fans to a double A-Side this August on Sleep Less Records.
Northern junglists North Base will release their double A-side single “Strawberry Shields” / “The Future” on 20th August through Sleep Less Records.
North Base have grown to be a consistent big player on the festival scene. Their recent single, “Acid Flashback”, saw the awakening of a wake a sleeping giant. People are now beginning to remember where drum and bass started and the genre is taking a steady turn towards home: where North Base are waiting with their feet up by the fire.
The first track of their double A-‐side, “Strawberry Shields”, is an amen riddled stormer of a track. The old-‐skool jungle vibes are rife, and though that is what people have come to expect from North Base, this release is definitely something that everyone should hear. “The Future” is a bass heavy steamrolling steppa that pulverises the eardrums and forces people to move in enlightened ways.
This latest release is the first for North Base on Sleep Less Records. Prophecy, of North Base fame, said: "We at North Base have had a long affiliation with Liverpool and its music culture. We love it over there! And becoming part of the SLR family and what they represent as a label means a lot to us."
