Sleep Less Records is an independent record label based in Liverpool that is in the business of producing and releasing Drum and Bass and Dubstep.

While working with some established artists, the label is putting a strong focus on highlighting some up-and-coming names as well. There are no restrictions to any specific genre of Drum and Bass or Dubstep that Sleep Less will release, so long as Sleep Less HQ ‘feel’ the music. This freedom and love for the music is what stands Sleep Less Records alone in a crowded market and provides the burning motivation behind the label.

The Sleep Less family of producers, DJ’s, and MC’s is already strong and diverse:

• SIKDOPE, this Polish dubstep duo are tipped for very big things and have received a lot of radio play and support in 2012.
• KUMARACHI, gained regular airplay on BBC Radio 1 and the BBC Asian Network Show, and can class Bobby Friction as a fan.
• Liverpool’s own DAN DANKO, a versatile master in the art of keeping the vibe dark, deep, and tech whether he’s producing dubstep or drum and bass.
• EKTO1, a producer with a rich history in live performance and a background in various genres, EKTO1 is a versatile and exciting artist.
• NORTHBASE, appearing at every festival under the sun in 2012, Northbase are sure to infect the nation with their hybrid of early jungle and dubstep.
• KSO, known worldwide for filling dancefloors with his unique flavour of filthy dubstep.
• SAPPO, Manchester based, BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter, sold over 250,000 records on his own label, Sappo is one of the biggest.
• XTC, a producer on the front line of the bass music scene in the north. His colossal track, “What You Gonna Do”, reached audiences far and wide and established XTC as one of the finest drum and bass producers around.
• MC SAS, needs no introduction as the founder of SLRUK, has played with top DJ’s including High Contrast, Sigma, and Futurebound.

SLRUK was founded by Viper Recording’s own MC SAS in April 2012 and already the label has attracted over 1000 followers on social networking sites. The first releases, Sold Your Soul Featuring Alison Roberts by MC SAS and Dubstep Haters by Sikdope have been received very well, with 2000 downloads and over 15,000 plays and interactions between them. This is very promising for Sleep Less Records and a sign that the Sleep Less future is bright.

The Sleep Less brand are always looking to expand and grow as a business and family. It is believed that the more work you put in the more you get out, which is why at SLRUK they never sleep.
